Handicare, a leading provider of technical aids for the elderly and physically disabled, announced today that Per Gunnar Borhaug has decided to leave the company at the end of the year. Mr. Borhaug has been with Handicare for 16 years, of which the last 11 as the CEO.
Under Mr. Borhaug’s leadership, Handicare has grown from a local Norwegian business with annual revenues of 400 m NOK and 300 employees into a leading European player in the technical aids industry for elderly and physically disabled people with a turnover of over 2 bn NOK and 1,400 employees.
“Mr. Borhaug has worked extremely hard during this journey, and his contributions have been vital in developing the business into what it is. He is leaving a strong company with a great outlook that stands ready for the next phase of international expansion”, comments Truls Olav Hauge, Chairman of Handicare.

The board of Handicare is in the final stages of the recruitment process for a replacement candidate and hopes to be able to announce Mr. Borhaug’s successor within shortly.
