We are proud to announce that we have received a Good Industrial Design Award (GIO) for two of our newest products: the Trophy 20 scooter and the Puma 40 power wheelchair. Both products are presented during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, the Netherlands from 22-30 October 2011.

To qualify for a Good Industrial Design Award, the hallmark for industrial design in the Netherlands, a product must offer more than just good looks. Functionality, originality, respect, ease of use, innovation and choice of materials are equally important. According to the expert jury, these aspects were all reflected in the Trophy 20 and Puma 40. Receiving these awards is a great recognition of Handicare's commitment to high-quality design.

The Good Industrial Design Award – which can be compared with the American Idea Award and the German Red dot and iF-Award – is a popular award for the professionalism of the designer and client.  It was awarded for the 26th time this year.
